Get Out the Vote!

Our general election program has officially launched!
This year, we are committed to flipping as many red seats to blue as possible, while also defending our more vulnerable incumbents.

Our strategy is simple:

  • Vote Early and help others do the same.
  • Overwhelm the MAGA/Trump attempts to steal the election by turning out voters in a Blue Wave that makes the election results utterly uncontenstible.
  • Election Protection: Be prepared and ready to act in the days leading up to and following the election.

Here’s where YOU fit in. Pick an action and get involved!

Be sure to check out the Michigan Secretary of State Voter Information Center. lt is a comprehensive, easy to navigate website where you can view your ballot, check your registration, and more.

Find your nearest ballot drop box and early voting locations!

Rolling out October 5: MichiganEarlyVote.com is the most accurate, up-to-date, and easy-to-use website for voters to use to find their nearest absentee dropbox and early voting locations. Voters Ed Fund has verified all information on the site by individually contacting each of Michigan’s nearly 1,600 local clerks to make sure voters have the most accurate voting information available to them.

Knock on Doors with us!

Help beat MAGA 10 doors at a time! Indivisible’s Neighbor2Neighbor program is our tool for having impactful conversations with voters near you. Instead of getting dozens of doors in someone else’s community, Neighbor2Neighbor provides you with 10 neighbors who need to be turned out to vote this year.

Here’s how it works: Sign up with N2N, and you’ll get a short list of addresses, a simple script, some best practices, and a printable handout – it’s that easy! There’s no app to download, and you can have these conversations on your own time. Sign up to receive the next ten closest doors when you’re done!

Phone Bank!

Having one-on-one conversations is still one of the most effective methods of engaging people who care about the fate of our country’s democracy and providing them with up-to-date information on when, where, and how to cast their ballots. So sign up for a shift – or many – and help power a historic landslide this November.

Click HERE for information about Indivisible’s Phone Banking program.

Don’t know what Phone Banking is? Click HERE to learn all about it via an Indivisible training session scheduled for Oct. 3. (Please note that this is a training only. You won’t be required to call voters during the training. This space is for those who have never made calls before to learn how to do so in a strictly learning environment.)

Are you a phone bank pro? Head to https://2026.indivisible.org/ to sign up for our next phone bank!

SAVE THE DATE!
No Kings – Vote Early. October 17: We’re Reclaiming Our Power

Join the “No Kings:Vote Early” Event on Oct 17th, 2026! We will gather in front of the Post Office in Marquette at 11 AM. (Please note: this is an hour earlier from previous posted plans.)

Our Message: We encourage everyone to vote!

We want to celebrate democracy by using it! Previous No Kings events were an opportunity to voice our concerns in peaceful, non-violent protest. This coming Saturday, Oct. 17, we are shifting gears from protest to encouragement, fueled by the same spirit of joyful solidarity and a foundational commitment to non-violence.

Our Plan:

We’ll walk through areas where we can meet with Marquette residents, attendees of the Fresh Coast Film Festival and the Farmers Market. We will offer information about early voting, voter registration, drop boxes, ballots and online resources to assist voters on and before election day.

Our Walk:

The walk starts at the Marquette Post Office, from where we’ll walk up Third Street to Black Rocks Brewery, back down Third Street to Ridge Street, down to The Women’s Federated Club House, and turn onto Front Street. We’ll then proceed on Washington Street, turning onto Third Street, where we’ll disperse around the Farmers Market. Time permitting, we may also head over to The Ore Dock Brewing Co.

Information Stations:

Starting at 1 PM until closing, LSRI members will be in the Peter White Public Library Conference Room (on the main floor, to the immediate right after you enter from the parking lot). We’ll offer the same information as our walking campaign.
In addition, we will have an info table at the Marquette Farmers Market.

Please spread the word and consider being a volunteer at the above events! LSRI will provide signs and voter information material for all participants to distribute.

About Signs:

We will provide signs for people who will be distributing voting information. If you want to bring your own signs for our walk, we ask that you to bring positive signs about voting instead of signs condemning the current administration and its policies. Examples of possible signs include: Vote for Health Care, Vote to End the War, Vote for Equality for All, Vote for the Rule of Law, Vote to stop ICE, Vote to Stop Hate, Vote for Better Wages.
