SUMMARY:All Member Meeting - Get Out the Vote!
DESCRIPTION:Wednesday\, September 23\, 6 – 8 pm\nPeter White Public Libra
ry Studio One Room (downstairs)\nOn the Agenda:\nThe focus of this meeting
is Getting Out the Vote! The best way to counter GOP/Trump/MAGA voter-sup
pression efforts is to run up the margins in a wave election so that the o
utcome is absolutely incontestable. And we have some ideas for doing just
that:\nHelp get out the vote for the Mid-Term election by using Indivisibl
e’s Neighbor 2 Neighbor battlegrounds canvassing tool and the practice o
f deep canvassing.\nHere is a quick video that explains Neighbor 2 Neighbo
r.\nYou can sign up for N2N here.\nOur GOTV strategy is to combine Neighbo
r 2 Neighbor with Deep Canvassing. What is Deep Canvassing\, you ask? Simp
ly put\, it’s a voter contact method that shifts people’s hearts and m
inds on an issue and/or candidate. It involves compassionate listening\, p
ersonal story exchanges and crafting curious questions.\nThis six minute v
ideo discusses the value of deep canvassing.\nWHY DOES IT WORK? Research s
hows deep canvassing is 100 times more effective than traditional canvassi
ng. (Yes\, you read that right.)\nThere will be opportunities at this meet
ing to sign up for Neighbor2Neighbor\, practice deep canvassing and learn
about other election-related actions you can take.\nRSVP with Mobilize to
attend this meeting by clicking HERE. As always\, registration is not requ
ired\, but it does help us with planning for the event.
